Experimental Zone for Comprehensive Education Reform (hereinafter referred to as the "Experimental Zone") is an important component of our strategy of "building a first-class national education think tank". It is an innovative measure that serves the needs of national strategy and promotes the deep integration of education theory and practice. It is a practical platform for CNAES to explore the regional education reform and development model with Chinese characteristics and to promote the pilot projects of the comprehensive national education reform. It is also a significant support for us to facilitate the professional growth of the scientific research team and to improve the quality of scientific research and the service level.

Since the establishment of our first experimental zone in 2008, after more than ten years of practical exploration, the development of the experimental zone has entered a fast lane. The regional layout has been continuously optimized, the construction scale has been expanded in an orderly manner, and the construction quality has been continuously improved. New educational concepts, new technologies and new methods have taken root in the experimental zone. The high-quality educational resources in the experimental zone have been effectively expanded. The abilities and levels of the experts, principals and teachers in CNAES have been continuously enhanced. New paths, new models and new strategies for educational scientific research to serve the country's macro-strategic decisions have been explored, providing practical support and typical cases for the country to deepen the comprehensive education reform.
