On February 25, Yin Hong, Secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee, presided over a collective study session of theoretical study center group, the Jiangxi Xi Provincial Committee of the CPC . The session invited Li Yongzhi, President of China National Academy of Educational Sciences (CNAES), to deliver a thematic lecture. Yin Hong emphasized that since the 18th CPC National Congress, General Secretary Xi Jinping has profoundly elucidated the theoretical, historical, and practical logic of advancing education, science and technology, and talent development in an integrated manner. He has proposed a series of new concepts, viewpoints, and judgments, providing fundamental guidance for promoting education development, scientific and technological innovation, and talent cultivation in the new era. He stressed the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourse on the integrated advancement of education, science and technology, and talent development. Jiangxi should vigorously implement strategies to strengthen the province through science and education, talent development, and innovation-driven development. It is essential to advance the reform of education, science and technology, and talent systems in a coordinated manner, focus on building institutional mechanisms that support comprehensive innovation, and inject strong momentum into the province's high-quality development, striving to write a new chapter of Chinese-style modernization in Jiangxi.

In his report, Li Yongzhi focused on an in-depth study and understanding of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourse on the integrated advancement of education, science and technology, and talent development. He comprehensively elaborated on the strategic background, core essence, and practical requirements of this discourse, aligning it with the implementation of the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. For the first time, the report of the 20th National Congress of the CPC included education, science and technology, and talent development as a separate chapter, placing it under the fifth section in an integrated arrangement. This reflects the high level of importance the Party and the country attach to the coordinated advancement of education, science and technology, and talent development. Promoting their integrated development is a contemporary interpretation of the fundamental principles of Marxism, embodies a systematic methodological approach, and holds significant practical and innovative value. Advancing this integrated approach must be viewed within the broader context of accelerating the construction of a leading country in education. It is essential to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s National Education Congress speech and fully leverage the fundamental and strategic role of education. The report also emphasized the importance of strengthening strategic research in education. More than 130 participants attended the meeting, including current Jiangxi provincial leaders, relevant provincial departments and units, and key officials from provincial universities in Nanchang.
