This project, aligned with the strategic goal of transforming China into an "Education Power," aims to develop an educational studies system tailored to China’s unique context, exploring the positioning and developmental pathways in the global education landscape. With the acceleration of China’s modernization, education is increasingly recognized for its crucial role in advancing social progress, fostering cultural innovation, and enhancing national competitiveness. Thus, constructing an educational studies framework that integrates Chinese characteristics, international perspectives, and academic autonomy is essential to China’s transition from an "educationally large" to an "educationally strong" country.

The study focuses on four core areas. First, it examines the theoretical foundations of China’s educational studies system, analyzing key concepts, including the educational philosophy of socialism with Chinese characteristics, Marxist educational theory, and traditional cultural thought. This provide a robust theoretical basis for constructing an independent educational studies system. Second, it explores the developmental logic of Chinese educational studies, assessing its evolution and identifying the historical, contemporary, and future dimensions that guide its development and innovation. Third, the project investigates practical mechanisms for transforming theoretical frameworks into actionable practices, forming a distinctive model for educational studies within China. Finally, it explores innovative pathways by intergrating local and global, traditional and modern perspectives, offering forward-thinking approaches to China’s educational development.
