November 24-26, 2018. The 2nd Belt and Road Education Dialogue: Research, Policy-making and Prospects

From November 24 to 26, 2018, CNAES held the 2nd B&R Education Dialogue: Research, Policy-making and Prospects in Beijing. This conference aims to leverage the intellectual and organizational advantages of educational research institutions, with national decision-making and development strategies, deeply discuss educational exchanges and cooperation among B&R countries facing 2030. It also highlights the vital role and mission of education in the B&R, exploring the priority areas and approaches for enhancing educational collaboration among countries, contributing to bulid the B&R collectively.

Tian Xuejun, vice minister of the MoE, attended and delivered a speech. About 200 education officials, experts and scholars from nearly 40 countries and some international organizations attended the conference. Chinese and foreign experts discussed on 3 topics: “Educational Modernization and National Development” “The New Round of Technological Revolution and Educational Reform” and “Paths and Models for Promoting Educational Equity and Quality”. Eight experts and scholars from China, Albania, Malaysia, Israel, Bangladesh and other countries delivered keynote reports. At the meeting, the B&R education research network was established, and “B&R National Education Cooperation 2030” was discussed and formed.

Qin Changwei, secretary-general of the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, congratulated on the fruitful achivements in this conference. He suggested that the B&R education network should earnestly implement practical educational exchanges and collaborations, jointly establish a diversified educational cooperation mechanism, and strive to promote the educational development of countries along the B&R. As a result, achieving the education goals of 2030 to create a better future for mankind.
